A power pole is a utility pole, sometimes called a telephone pole. As a local feature to assist in locating a station, it doesn't really matter which kinds of wires the pole supports. What does matter is the identifier on the pole, such as X347J. Often there is more than one label on the pole.

If you are adding the distance and direction from a pole to the station in a recovery report, be sure to note the newest-looking pole identifier.
